Prior to Fairhome purchasing the property, Albion Palace had been derelict for around 4 years; It was a form of accommodation but had been left with some structural issues, damp and an abandoned basement.

Overview

A home for 46 individuals being relieved from homelessness. 

Partners: Midlands Living (Support Provider), Midlands Living CIC (Registered Provider) 

Local Authority: Birmingham City Council 

  • A design was put together to achieve 46 en-suite rooms
  • The design incorporated a full L1/L2 hybrid system throughout the building
  • New CCTV system
  • Within the property with build 4 communal kitchens including a large soup kitchen with a custom commercial cooker and extractor system
  • An extra £250k was allocated to the scheme to provide the main HQ for Midland Living including a boardroom and a number of offices and within the basement we build a prayer rooms.
